Your teeth will continue to move throughout the rest of your life! The only thing that will keep your teeth straight is wearing your retainers. How often you need to wear your retainers is different for each individual. In general, stability will increase over time and you will need to wear your retainer less often. Some signs that you need to increase the number of hours you wear your retainers include: retainers feeling tight or are hard to insert, visual evidence of tooth movement, or retainer wear causing tooth soreness.

Retainers do not last forever. Even though you have “graduated,” we are always happy to see you if any problems or questions arise. Just give us a call.
